Weird Significant Others (a brief repeat)

They can be weird creatures...me included. Heck, maybe I'm the president of the weird spouse club. But this is about my wife. She did something pretty funny recently.

One morning as I was wiping the sleep from my eyes and trying to remember exactly why I had to go to work, my wife said, "You were in big trouble when I woke up. I was SOOOO mad at you because of what you did in my dream last night. But I decided to forgive you!"

Forgive me?!? But I'm not complaining. This has happened before...and usually she punches me in the arm before I'm fully awake. She doesn't hit hard in those situations, so I've decided it's cute.

PS - I posted this when I first started blogging and almost no one saw it.

  1. I'm going to side with your wife on this one - my hubby's "dream-cheated" on me before, and he gets heck for it - LOL. Then he laughs at how silly I am and I continue to pout away. I guess that puts me in the weird-spouse club too!

    1. You too!?! LOL, it's a fun club--things are never boring. "dream-cheated", I like that expression. =)

  2. I think it's normal for girls to get mad at their spouses for something they did in a dream. Haha. My husband doesn't dream about me cheating, but one time he dreamt he was trying to get out of a burning building or something, and he had to use his shoulder to bust a door open. Guess who ended up being the door in real life? I almost fell off the bed.

  4. I once gave my friend the cold shoulder because she did something bad to me in a dream. Hahaa! It's better than being mean..right? I'd rather she think I was having a bad day. :P

  6. I do this all the time, and it isn't limited to being mad at my husband. I am often annoyed with something one of my kids has done in my dream as well. :-)

    1. That's so funny, it has never happened to me. I barely remember any dreams, but I do recall two in which I was mad at my dad and brothers. The feeling did not stay with me when I woke up.

    1. But, but, but...okay, I give up. This isn't about logic, so I'll count myself lucky. :)

  13. Aww, haha that is cute! Sometimes I have dreams with my boyfriend in it and I get really angry. And then I wake up and I'm probably still kind of angry, but more relieved that it was just a dream!

  14. This has happened to me too, but I didn't wake up blaming Bon but I did wake up with a very bad feeling --- cus it felt so real. I have a lot of realistic dreams, but I also have a lot of very ridiculous dreams but Bon probably has the worst --- like in one, he was beyonce's brother so he became part of jay-z's entourage. He woke up so disappointed.

I still make fun of him for that.

    1. LOL, I like Bon's dream. I've never had one like that.

  15. Hahaha! I've had dreams like that but I didn't get mad at the boyfriend. I've a psych degree so I always end up trying to analyze why I had those dreams. So I was more focused on me than him when I woke up. :P

    1. That's exactly right, since it's your subconscious. I pointed that out with no success. =)
