Have I commented to you that, "I hope you sin!"?
Or that, "The food looks greta in your pictures"?
Or, "It's aobut time for me to change jobs"?
Those are some of my more common typos. It's not my fault the "w" and the "s" are so close to each other on the keyboard. Hopefully you knew I wanted you to win, not sin. That one-key over (or up or down) error always produces strange results.
Almost as embarrassing are the times I type the wrong, there, their, or they're. I know the difference. When I'm composing I think the correct version, but on occasion my fingers go rogue. I can't explain the disconnect between brain and fingers. Once in a great while I type a completely random word in place of what I meant to type (i.e, make instead of like).
I'm not sure why I so often type the "t" before the "a" in great, but it happens almost every time. I'm really not trying to invent a new adjective. If "great" appears correctly in a comment or post, it's probably because I caught the mistake in editing. Same goes for "aobut".
We all commit typos, right?
Okay, that's it for my biannual typo disclaimer. If you see a typo or a misplaced word in one of my posts or comments, please remember that grunting was my first language and I probably did know the correct spelling or word to use (probably), it just didn't make it onto the page.
Happy Wednesday!
I juts don't understand how you can make all those typos. I really juts don't get it at all. I juts don't. :-)
ReplyDeleteI always make typos so many times! My mind is thinking of a word whilst my hands are is typing something different. Wierd eh?
ReplyDeleteLiek <- I nearly always type it wrong. :X
i remember when we used to have a typing lesson and always scared what kind of words i made after typing while blindfolded.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHA!
ReplyDeleteThat's okay Rick, I hope you sin too!
It's ok rick! We all MAEK mistakes.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you've seen lotsa typo in mine too coz of my insensitive keyboard. I usually blamed it on the keyboard but with a normal keyboard, I do make lots of mistakes too. And yes, there are times when I really know the spelling of certain words or the grammar but I just keep making those mistakes.
One word that I ALWAYS need to retype is 'certain'. I'll always type 'ceratin' first!
ReplyDeleteI make typos all the time. Heck, I don't even make sense sometimes. @_@
ReplyDeleteI have the same problem with my brain and my mouth!!!!
ReplyDeletewww.clothedmuch.com
yep, we all do! thats why we still understand each others comments! ;)
ReplyDeleteHahaha, typos are my best friends when I post or comment, so I had better reread it before posting otherwise it will become embarrasing, hahaha!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday, well it is almost Friday here in Tokyo, so I might wish you a nice weekend as well :-)
hahah loved this post. In fact I just did a typo with "thsi" while typing that previous sentence. I think that if we all do the same typos, eventually it will just become accepted LOL. It's true though, that your thoughts often race faster than your poor fingers so typos are inevitable.

ReplyDeletethere are certain words I always miss spelled but meh its all good lol. and yeah everyone make typos :D
ReplyDeleteIt's cool Rick. Typo errors happen all the time and I'm not exempted either.
ReplyDeleteI do notice something funny though. I find that I don't make that many typo errors while in broad daylights even-though not looking at the keyboard. However, when the lights are off, my errors are aplenty. I guess my fingers need lights to see the keyboard ... hahaha!
It happens to me too! but I think as long as people understand it, it doesn't matter, hehe..
ReplyDeletei make typos all the time...... :( how i really wish i could speak/ write something like you Ric :)
ReplyDeletei try so hard, not to hit "publish" with a typo but editing is a tough job. when i'm rich, i'll hire someone to edit my comments and posts!
