Insult or Compliment II???

"I'd rather have bad times with you, than good times with someone else"

According to my wife, the proper response to that line is, "No thanks!"  She hears it as, "Sure, you're a *itch and we're only going to have bad times together, but I might as well stay."  LOL!

She KNOWS the lyric is saying that even bad times with that person are better than good times with someone else, but she still doesn't like it.

How do you feel about that line, insult or compliment???

  1. Haha, your wife is funny. I tend to agree with her - bad times with someone, no matter how wonderful and awesome, can get really really tiring and old

    1. I can't coast on my charm??? Haha, that would be a short trip. Since I can only fake wonderful for brief periods (and awesome is out of the question), I guess I have no choice but to work at making sure bad times are minimized. I'm starting to think work never really ends, it's just a question of what we're working on. =)

    1. The good thing is that there is no right or wrong answer, only what you feel about it. That excludes husbands--they better give the right answer or else there will be BIG trouble!!! lol

  3. Hmmmm....... I am not quite sure about this one.Personally it just sounds odd, why would you want bad times with your significant other than good times with someone else? A good time is a good time...done deal.

    1. It is a weird line. But Luther delivered it so smoothly. That guy could make anything sound romantic...almost.
