Apparently there is a conpsiracy in Europe to create the impression that Germans are not funny people--they placed last in a survey. Being 50% German myself, I want to thank Steven Colbert for proving that false. Skip the nonsense about John Lennon and jump ahead to the 2:15 mark in the video. But I'm not 100% convinced that guy is really German--he almost smiled once!
PS - While Germans were last, the survey placed Americans first!!! =)
whaa? weird generalization! I think there are funny people anywhere, and what I find funny some people might not.. like I think trailer park boys is stupid but some people find that hilarious...
ReplyDeletei cant watch that video!!! i wanna watch :p fancy boy (as how I'm going to call that boy I fancy at work) is German as well (whhooppps, I said what?!)
ReplyDeleteHaha. Something sounds fishy....who conducted the survey, the US? Unable to watch the Colbert clip cuz I'm in Canada.
ReplyDeleteSo Americans are the funniest people in the world? =) I can't watch the video now cause I'm commenting on your post at work right now (secretly, when my boss is not around, lol), but I'll have a look when I get home ;)
ReplyDeleteWell, most Germans I know are very funny, including me! XD But it is actually also true that Germans can be very stiff and stern, and the most important thing: they are always complaining about everything XD
LOL! :P thanks for sharing the video rick. i enjoyed watching it! :)
ReplyDeleteBoo I can't watch the video b/c I'm in Canada (a land full of funny people btw hehe)
ReplyDeleteHe's right about Grape-Nuts, ya know. ;P
ReplyDelete(Great to be back on Blogger! And oops, I don't mean to make anyone wait!)
Whatever the rating, i know you are as funny as you want to be. Surveys can never be taken seriously. They forgot to get your readers' feedback.
ReplyDeletehehhhe..hmm, wondered what coz i can't see the video:) good day my friend!
ReplyDeletehaha, the PS sections of your posts always seem to get the best laugh/giggle out of me. lol
ReplyDelete& YAY for being American!
...Though I can list a couple of things I'm not quite so proud of some of the things us 'Americans' are known for or have done, we'll push that aside for now..
Horray for being American ^__^ Lol
<3,
Dana

I love Steve Colbert!!! I hate stupid surveys like that cause when the general public reads it, they always disagree with the results. Hehe
ReplyDeleteI also had to reread ur comment like 3 times, thank you for the compliment^^
I hope you have a fantastic weekend. Hope it's not too hot by you!
So... You don't name your car either? I know a guy who named his car Jennifer and every time he exhausts "her" he pats her on the dashboard and says "I'm sorry Jennifer". LOL... I thought it was interesting for a guy to do that.
ReplyDeleteYep! I love the Time Machine. I actually finished reading it two days ago and I was SO SHOCKED WITH THE ENDING! It had been three years since the disappearance of The Time Traveler... I'd like to think that he fell in love with someone, and he didn't want to go back. I refuse to think that he died instantly by a monster. Gross.
Ha! Love Colbert!!!
