The brown napkins in my desk drawer at work are a renewable resource.
The white tissues on my desk are not.
Why? Is it related to the production process that made one brown and the other white? No. Is it related to which company manufactured them? No--they're both generic products, I have no idea who made them.
The napkins are renewable because I get them for free from the take-out place on the first floor of my building. I have to BUY the tissues!!!
So, I hope this has been helpful and that you'll all do what you can to save
HA! But seriously, we should take better care of our planet and make choices that help.
ReplyDeleteAmen! It's great when the universe aligns and there's an option that gives you the opportunity to help the planet and save money.
DeleteWe get tissues at our office (hopefully unrelated to the tears shed over the job)
ReplyDeleteAnd catered lunches! :)
DeleteWe can justify buying hand wipes for staff--as a wellness measure. But no tissues.
lol, brilliant :)
ReplyDeleteThe sad thing is I can picture a co-worker saying and believing what I wrote--the part about free = renewable!!! :D
DeleteRecycling is starting to get off over here but in a couple of states only! If I have to separate rubbish, everyone should be made to do it too, don't you think? Haha!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a good Friday, Rick! Any thoughts on what you're dressing up as on Halloween? Or are you staying at home to distribute candy/scare the kids who come a-knockin'?
On Halloween night I was going to hide in a pile of leaves and jump out at kids at the right time. But now we're having a few rainy days. The leaves will still be wet on Saturday. So I guess I'll be on door duty, handing out the candy.
DeleteYou shouldn't have to sort rubbish! You should have someone do it for you!!! :)
Your post was very nicely written. I’ll be back in the future for sure!
